With the lasrt "paying" TM 2 years "old"

I would be ok to pay for new envis :)

New blocks only may be a bit too boring for the "ancient TM'lers" here (the guys who started 4-5 years ago)

New contents for making new "curves" (angle tool or something else easy to use), new blocks on Coast... and new stuff, sur this would be great !
Possibility to search maps more easily on Solo Campaign. (Lost tracks for example).
And new stuff, new envirro, new stuff... more and more^^

Changing the angle on curves sounds really cool :)
And how about a tool to tilt the blocks as well?

I don't like the sound of custom curves. It takes the challenge out of the building PDT_006

I want new Environments and a complete makeover of the editor.

Sure, the useage of blocks is quite easy atm, but I would wish for a transition block to make turns into any direction of degrees and the possibility to lengthen and shorten parts.

Like this here:

All in all, thast quite the simple change, but it gives such a huge amount of new possibilities.

I doubt Nadeo would call that simple. You're probably not a programmer ^^

Also, it takes away from the simplicity and predictability of TM. Not that I care about that (otherwise i wouldn't have made mixmaps) but Nadeo does.

And it would inflate the file size of TM tracks and replays by quite a lot, I think.

Well, the Maploading could be done during the mapchange on servers.

The length of the sizes are just numbers imo.

Sure its not easy, but compared to the possibilities we would get, its not much time of working for Nadeo.

The track skins would have to stretch / skew etc, so they'd probably look bad, unless Nadeo made skins for x number of variations of a curve.

For real, I give a shit on the looking. I want lots morepossiblities in the editor.

Also some of you have recognized, that there are more landing bugs in TMUF then there were in TMU. This means Nadeo have change something which made them appear more often. This shows that Nadeo got the possibilities to remove them either.

AtzePeng, you're a bit dreaming here. The editor is like Lego. You have a certain number of blocks, and you can turn them in only 4 directions. There is no way to turn them differently, or strecthen them.

Also, about the "landing bug", do you think Nadeo willingly add some ? I rather think they are unable to add/remove them without totally changing the physics of the environment or changing the blocks. That's the best possibility. The worst would be that they don't understand how they appear.
For instance the tunnel bug in Bay was removed, but a similar bug on some wood parts in Snow still exist.
Changing something into something worse is very easy, changing into something better is very hard.

I know, 'never change a running system', but any poll about this topic shows clearly, that something new is needed. This is something totally new and even could make the old blocks environments way more interesting again. The editor is just to limited. 2003 it may was the only possibility, due to a lack of better hardwareof the players and funds, but its 2008, games are locking more and more realistic and hardware is getting better and better. Surely Trackmania isn't known as the ubergraphic game and also got fair requirements of hardware, but it also have to develop. The editor is the only thing which wasn't fundamentally change during all the Trackmania parts. It's time for this step. New environments can give players the motivation of playing Trackmania again, but it doesnt make the other environments more fun.

Think about it, when Mistral for example would add tracks for the new Environment. They'd be wished all the time and the others would most likely ignored. Then would come the spot, when the players got enough of this environment and it gets the same situation as it is now. In the opposite much more block combinations and possiblities would give the Trackmania community much more.

As I stated above. They've changed something in TMUF, which made bugs appear more often. That means, they have the possibility to do it the opposite way either. Atleast the major bugs of Stadium Rammsteins and Snow landings should be removed and the new archievements of TMUF landing & rampbugs on the other environments.
It really sucks, that there are bugs now on Rally, Island and Bay. They weren't there before.
