the "news" volume is linked to marketing Zooz
the "search" to the popularity I suppose. In one case it decreases in the other it grows.
by the way, we have just hit the all time record of concurrent united players.

Nice graph. Do you have a graph from 2003, too?
The graph is TMU from nov'06, and then added the stadium players (with TMNF) in apr-08?

the first trackmania maximum was 300 simultaneous multiplayer. For sunrise, it was 400 I think.
the numbers here are only for United and United Forever. It does not include TMNF players.

wow, even on tmo and tms i never had a problem finding people to play with  . didnt know there was a limit of that few people back then.

and a couple of thousands of players on a server nowadays seems a bit too much either
I think it's a number of ppl connected to TMUF at the same time ^^

Then it's a very nice leap with the TMUF release
In response to the posts above: It was nice with a small gang in the old days. You always knew a couple of players on every server you tried, and it was a very special atmosphere
