What's your favourite screen resolution (for browsing)?
MAYBE I'm working on new ET website stuff

yeah but only maybe... ^^
in fact, i guess it wouldnt be that nice for older PCs for joining there with with a FUll HD resolution (for example) whether they only have a 1280*1024 resolution... anyway, everybody can increase the sites "zoom" - resolution while pressing in firefox (dunno if its also possible in IE, Opera...) CTRL+ for zoom in or CTRL- for zoom out...
EDIT: thinking further about it, 1600*1200 (=4:3, too) would also be an alternative way...

I like having a windowed browser in Windows since you only get one desktop.
In Linux I run it on one the desktops in full screen.

I second Bramble here.
And as most people probably only use Windows, I can't see how anything higher than 1024x768 would work for the ET sites.

1280x1024 should be a standard nowadays and if you are using a higher solution (1440x900 here) it won't be a problem.

Well, 1440 x 900 isn't higher in one dimension...

5760*1200 here,

Same for me.
Usually my browser window is a litte more than 1280*1024.
1200 width (don't forget lateral scrollbar), and 800 height (for essential infos, on wide screens), should be ok in most cases. I suppose that those who have smaller screen know how to zoom their browser pages.

I use 1920*1080 but fullscreen. So basically the ET pages are quite small since it only uses about half my screen.
This topic just made me realise that all websites use half the screen...... FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU!
Guess I won't maximise FF anymore...

I don't like reading mile-wide paragraphs of text anyway, so even if I did have a bigger monitor than 1280x1024 I'd just use a smaller window.

1920x1200, but I have to zoom everything in order to read anything anyway.
