For sure the sl3 system, where you could see the difference in won and lost maps.

It would be the LE10-11 and SL5-6 system for TMO and TMS environments but I prefer the UL5 system for United so quite difficult to answer in this case =)

Go UL1 system as STC system ;)
btw esl premier league system is nice too but with tmu it looks difficult to work : i purpose to do 45 sec map on all enviro + multilap map on all enviro ( 5 lap, ~ 35 sec per lap ). Match : 1 tmo map, 1 tms map 1 stad - 2 tmo, 1 tms - 2 tms 1 tmo.

Just approximative idea

EDIT : Forget the 45 sec map, 1 min map is better for team league

Random divisions are a hilariously bad idea.

Really? I'm all for the UL1 option actually.

I've never seen the need to improve the STC format, and it's been enjoyed without problems for a long time (except for the addition of loser brackets which caused some arguments).

Random divisions would cause the division proposal topic to be a whole 25 pages less than what it currently is.

The only change I'd make is let 2 or 3 teams go through to the playoffs instead of 1. That would give a chance for most div1/2 (and probably a few div3/4) teams to have a relaxing time for the first half of the league, and conserve their energy and motivation for the second half, which is apparently hard to do with the current structure.

With small divisions a lot of teams will have to sit out a long playoffs period, with large divisions there will be many boring matches of d1-3 teams crushing d7-10 teams. And in a standard playoff system everything depends on one match or you're out, although a loser bracket gives another chance. It will also mean a longer league where in the end only 8 or less teams are actually playing in it.

In TMU the levels of the teams are fairly predictable and despite some whining, decent divisions can be made. In UL1 that wasn't really the case due to TMU being new and all.
