Hi,
I got 2-3 mails lately, why there were no new mappacks for the Replay ladder. The reason is simple: There's way too few activity to do the effort for a new mappack every month. The fact that only 3 people complained until now, even underlines it.

So I'd like to know, who is indeed still interested in the Replay ladder? Yes or No, open for 50 days. Quite simple.

Even though I didn't play in it any more lately, I still liked the mappacks. The idea of using possible UL/SL/LE maps was nice, and it allowed some other good maps to come out of ET that otherwise wouldn't have made it.

in addition, i think it would be nice if the replays of the UL/LE/SL-versions of the Replayladdermaps could be accepted from the system too..so the players could have more motivation to send in their replays..

i liked the version of a mappack with leaguemaps a lot actually.
but thats because im not too active atm to train maps just for the replay.

even though i liked the way how it was the last time as well.

the replay ladder should be kept i hope, the 1v1 ladder.. mhh, good idea, and good concept i guess, but just too low on interest.

Dunno if a new mappack would be useful, because of the inactivity.
But i got another thing in my mind.

A real nice thing would be an et side where it is possible to upload all times on the ET mappack. Something like a TMX for ET-League maps. So it would be possible to have sorted rankings after leagues( e.g UL, GC ..) and also after environments overall or only per league.

that's something i've been thinking about too lately, since for myself, the replayladder has got no value anymore. i'm already happy if i can find the time to train for all leagues i'm driving, not even mentioning building my own tracks.

however, such a site that would combine dedirecs and offline recs together for every track (like every track has its own trackpage), and not only the top10, but more than that. and a place to comment or so.

and by making a special part of uploaded tracks only accessable by admins, you could also give feedback there. it's like the ET upload module transformed into a tmx jacket.

just some ideas. PDT_006

As I was one of the few, who were active every month, i obviously liked that kind of competition, although I'm not that good at TA-Racing.

The new mappack concept was a nice idea, though I disliked that i can't upload replays from the league-tracks. But I have to admit that it got more boring every month, because less players participate.

The idea of tcq and JumperJack sounds good, because not every track gets uploaded on tmx. So it would be a nice thing, if there would be something like ET-TMX. At the beginning of the replayladder the UL4-tracks received good reception, maybe this can be continued...
Probably you can attract more players by giving prizes (coppers ofc) to the best players of the season and/or envi. Maybe this can be paid by small fees or voluntary donations. I can't estimate, if this works...It's just an idea.

also, if you've got such a tmx-like site for all leaguetracks, you can also add a leaderboard. this would be like the etladder then, but for existing leaguetracks then. i do realize that the concept of new tracks is gone then, but i guess this is one of the only ways to keep it active and interesting for the drivers, especially when deditimes would be added to the record database.

Though there haven't been any reactions on my post PDT_001
But thanks tcq for mentioning it again :D

So I totally support this idea.

Yes, I'm still interested in this replay ladder.

It has some good technical tracks in it, which make it really challenging.
