|
|
Yesterday, on the Paris Game Festival, Nadeo announced the future of Trackmania: Trackmania 2. In a highly dynamic video show, Florent Castelnerac (Nadeo head) demonstrated the new features to the crowd.
The sequel will contain 3 brandnew environments and loads of new features: For example players can now design their own blocks and exchange them as they do with tracks right now. Terraforming and Maniascript will make the game more dynamic than ever.
Trackmania 2 is announced for 2010. More detailed information about the features and video/images can be found in the 2nd post of this news thread. _________________

I pray it'll be an update, not a new game.
TMU"F" would be almost useless then. At least it wouldn't get more players in the future. _________________

It's a new game. TMF is still Forever, it will stay forever as it is now I guess
Maybe TM2 could bring new players in if the 3 envs it has are not enough for them... |

I doubt that. Do you know people today who start playing Warcraft 2? ^^
Now, some talk about "import" the old environments to TM2. Is this wishful thinking or could it become true? It would be great. I don't see any reason to abandon them. _________________

This would be great, thanks for the information.
Could someone explain to me what "import blocks to the game" will mean? I found this expression on the German TM blog. _________________
