The general place to talk about "Trackmania". News from the teams, players, leagues, about tools, creations, mods, videos, maps, skins, THIS is the right place!

Well, if Nadeo did what the majority want, then they'd never make any cash.
It's obvious that TMN has by far the biggest fan base because it's free! Anyway, I don't really see why they would bother updating TMNF much anymore, every time they update it people start crying saying the additions are crap and that there are 10 billion more bugs. It really is a thankless task...
Maybe if the TMN players were more active around here then we'd have a more balanced community here and less of the "them and us". If they choose not to sign up and get involved, then there's not much we can do.

when have they done any updates to TMNF?
it is "them and us" because it's 2 different communities. I don't even see the TMUF stadium and the TMNF stadium as the same environment, sorta.

thats what the poll proved wrong. The nations players would corrupt the poll on which united players vote. Sure there are a lot of old sunrise and original players. But there are also in TM.

the poll says nothing about which environment is the most played. just which one people prefer. and the ones that voted are old original and sunrise players so of course they vote on those environments. if people like me who first played stadium and then bought United and played the other environments voted, it would be on stadium because that's just how it works. People started playing nations because it was free, but also because it was a good game. and when they bought united and saw the other environments were nothing like stadium, they would get turned off, just the way you got turned off by stadium.

I like rally the best, actually
People just don't like being rubbish at games. Generally they can't be bothered to spend the time to learn the other 6 environments when they could just play 1 that doesn't cost them anything.
Maybe Nadeo were hoping people would be more willing to get stuck into the other environments. I had a fairly tough time learning the 6 environments that I didn't know, whereas the old TMO guys had a more staggered learning process due to the way in which games are released.
The other problem is that at the highest level then t here is no point in playing TMU because you can't go play any LANs or anything because all they have there is Stadium.

wowowowo, my favourite environment is the best forever !
The most liked environment depends a lot on the players you include in your field of view and the players you exclude. The ET vote represents ET usual players opinion. Make a vote on an island full-speed red-booster server and you'll see island should won with 90% of the votes. Ask the same thing on a TMNF server and you'll see the same for stadium.
I know also some old sunrise or original players that are still on these old games, because they don't like united, they say the new environments are shit, and so on. I think people that don't WANT to learn and play often ALL the environments make all a bias in any survey. (whatever they are from original, sunrise or nations). Because in any survey, you don't know accurately the repartition (TMO players, TMS players, TMN players, and TMU all environements players), you can't tell what environment is over-estimated/under-estimated.
This talk is pointless, just enjoy the game and its diversity. Everybody can enjoy his best environment, and that is what we expect all

actually, some people came to TMU from TMN, we all know a few drivers who were on TMN, bought the game, and remained stuck on TMU... but it seems quite clear that we are not talking about a huge majority of the TMN drivers here...
as i said, both games are quite different and have their own fanbase, and to pretend otherwise is like saying that Counter Strike Source and left for dead should share the same audience because they share the same engine.

I started around the time when TMPU was released, and now I prefer Sunrise environments over anything, even if they didn't exist when I started playing TM.
And I absolutely loathe stadium.

yeah yeah there's always exceptions of course. but i think it's very common that it happens like i wrote, people tend to stick to what they already know.
but like someone already said, this discussion is not important. let us end it.

I lol'd.
I lol'd, too. :P
You should learn 1 thing. You should not demand more if you got something and had not to pay for it. (Sure, you bought TMU, but other TMNF-players not, maybe).
Or when you get a present from your aunt, do you ask if you get more?
Sure, it would be nice if Nadeo makes something for TMNF in future, too, but I think now it is time, that TMUF-players get something.
Now don't throw tomatoes on me please.

i won't, but you should really read the posts that's already been posted before you post so you don't just repeat what's already been discussed.
