So... Ubisoft bought Nadeo?
Firstly I'd like to express my congratulations to the Nadeo team! They deserve it!
But now I wonder how this will effect TM with regards to new game releases. Sure, the community got bored of the same 7 environments for the last few years, but I still see a strong community that enjoys playing the leagues, despite training motivation...
THat was always the main charm of TM for me. Now, I wonder if Ubisoft will want to make this a cash cow, and pump out new games with new features (and maybe new stuff like damage model etc.... gotta make new shit to sell!) yearly, or even every two years.
I fear this will make the community split up, as some people will want to stay on previous iterations, while newcomers to the series will always go to the newest game.
I don't think the choice between TMU and TM2 will be a difficult one for ET. If TM2 sucks, then yay more years of the same TMU enviros. But I believe the custom blocks will bring great diversity to tracks, and will enable TM2 to be fun to discover even longer than TMU, unless everything else remains the same.
I wonder what everyone else thinks about this.
And no, I don't like to panic over things that shouldn't be panicked about, like Swine Flu... It might not be bad at all! This scenario is just something I hope won't happen
And Frost, as I'm posting now already, I'd just like to respond to your posts.
I am one such person that changed from TMN to TMU, even after being in nWo, and having to start from zero on TMU. My decision was made because I decided it's more important to have fun on a game, even if you are a noob, than be a pro gamer and train all the time for competitions to win money.
I'm not intending to attack you.. I like you as you know, and I am your fan Mr. Champ
But really Nadeo doesn't owe anything to the TMN community who mostly insulted them. I was one of those people who thought Nadeo owed something to TMN players, but I see now that I erred greatly.
And also, I do recall you being one of the people that blamed Nadeo for the "shit landing bugs" when TMNF came out, so although you now say its a matter of skill to avoid them, you shouldn't act so high and mighty now, because you didn't know that before.
All that being said, I side with the arguments put forward by the TMU community, and not because I play TMU now... I love both games, and believe both have their pros and cons. Okay I'll shut up now.
What do you guys think about Ubisoft? ^^
